When You Arrive:
A Greeter will meet you at the Early Childhood Registration table. Your child will receive a 2 part security tag. One tag is pinned on the back of your child's shirt and the other one is for you. Your tag must be presented in order to pick up your child.
After registering you will take your child to their room where a Room Captain will greet you and take note of any special instructions or allergies your child may have. The Room Captain will also answer any of your questions.
We want your child to be happy in the Nursery. If your child is not comfortable staying in the Nursery you are welcome to stay with them.
We maintain low child/caregiver ratios to provide your children with excellent care.
If your child cries for an extended period of time, of 10 minutes, we will post their number up on the digital monitor on the stage in Big Church. The number that appears will match your security tag.
Your Child's Health
For the protection of the children in our ministry we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fever, cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. We request that you not place your child in the Nursery while they are at risk of exposing other children. Thank you in advance for keeping our Nursery a healthy place for all.
We are an "allergy aware" nursery. Snack is provided. It is important to inform the Room Captain of any allergies or special instructions your child may have.
Pick Up Procedures
The Room Captain will release your child to you upon receiving the correct security tag. Please ensure that all your child's items have been returned to you before you leave. Lost and found items will be returned to the Ministry Centre and retained for a short period of time. Items not claimed after one month will be donated to a charitable organization.
To Assist the Nursery
1. Please label all personal belongings your child brings in to the Nursery with their first and last name.
2. Please take your toddler to the washroom before registering. This will assist our volunteers in caring for your child.
3. If your child's security number is displayed on the digital monitor in Big Church, please proceed to the Nursery to assist the volunteers with any concerns your child may have.
4. Please pick up your child promptly after the service so we can prepare for the next group coming in or pack up the Nursery until next week.
