MEXICO MISSION TRIP
Each year during the March spring break, SunWest Student Ministries joins Amor Ministries in serving impoverished families in the Tijuana area of Mexico. This trip is designed to build community, to learn the importance and rewards of serving others, to equip needy families with decent housing and to change lives in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Mexico Missions Trip is for Senior High - grades 9 to 12.
Why does SunWest Student Ministries do this trip?
We believe this trip helps students and leaders develop socially, intellectually, physically, relationally and spiritually. In helping others, we grow!!
No construction experience is needed to join this project. All you need is a good attitude, an adventurous spirit, and a willingness to participate and work together as a team.
Why go?
It is a trip where you will GIVE more and work harder than ever before. It is also a trip where you will RECEIVE far more than you ever thought possible!
What does the trip cost?
The cost of the trip is approximately $1000 per student which is all tax deductible. The extra expenses of the trip include meals on the road down and back. We will also have a day off which may incur further expense.
Fund-raising
Students are responsible for fund-raising the entire amount of their trip cost through group and individual fund-raising. Each group fund-raising event is given a dollar value that will be put toward your trip.
A little about Amor Ministries . . .
Amor Ministries specializes in setting up these trips for thousands of teens each year. The organization networks with local pastors who are aware of families in need of proper housing. Amor supplies all the plans, materials, and the site. We show up to build houses in 3 - 4 work days.
