Ministry exists to supplement the family in their responsibility of guiding children into a relationship with Christ so that they walk with God, live the Word, and impact their world. Our vision is to guide children to know and love Jesus!
The following are ministry opportunities in three areas of Kid's church: Programming, Shepherding and Operations.
Programming
Visual Arts Team - Create props, room decorations and banners relating to quarterly themes. (4 hours/month)
Creative Teaching/Communicators - Plan and present the Large Group teaching using curriculum provided. (1 Sunday in 3 rotation)
Curriculum Team - Assist in developing the Small Group activities, games, discussion starters, based on a lesson theme. (2 hours/week)
Music Teams - Adults and children lead in worship during Large Group time. (1 Sunday in 3 rotation)
Technical Team - Sets up equipment and runs technical equipment during morning. (2 hours on Sunday weekly)
Shepherding
K-5 and Preschool Small Group Leaders - Have fun leading planned activities while building relationships with children in small groups, modeling Christ’s love. Teaching gift is not a requirement. Material is provided to assist with discussion following the Large Group teaching. (2 hours on Sunday weekly and 1 hour during the week)
Caregivers - Play with and model Christ love to infants and toddlers. (2 hours 1 Sunday in 3 rotation)
Substitutes - Work once or twice a month as a substitute for a Small Group Leader or Caregiver.
Operations
K-5 Activity Centers Team - Set up and supervise creative activities that provide opportunities for fun, as a welcoming relational tool during the first 20 minutes on Sunday morning. (2 hours -1 Sunday in 3 rotation)
Greeters - Assist with welcoming children, checking children in according to procedures and monitoring entrances and hallways where needed to maintain a safe environment for the children. (2 hours 1 Sunday in 3 rotation)
Office Assistants Volunteers - Help in Children's Ministry during weekdays, doing various tasks such as computer input, photocopying, preparing name tags, shopping, filling Small Group bins, etc.
Disinfecting Toys Volunteers - Will bring Nursery and some Preschool toys to be washed and disinfected on a routine basis.
Hospitality Team - Encourage various Children’s Ministry teams with food at special events and planning/connecting times.
