What is SunWest's Technical Ministry?
- SunWest's Technical Ministry exists to guide people into an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ by using technology to release people into undistracted worship and to release creativity at SunWest.
- SunWest's Technical Ministry is a place for those gifted in electronics, lighting, computers and sound engineering to get involved.
- SunWest's Technical Ministry releases the musicians, actors, communicators and teachers by making sure that their presentations are seen, heard and enhanced via technology.
- SunWest's Technical Ministry provides regular opportunities for those willing to get involved in all areas including Kid's Church, Youth Church and Big Church.
What does SunWest's Technical Ministry look like?
SunWest's Tech Teams work hard on Sundays and throughout the week to put together a well-packaged service. They take pride in making sure the congregation is able to hear and see clearly, the basis of effective communication. The Teach Teams value the arts as an expression of the gifts God has given His church and in order to enhance the arts, they work to effectively release the arts through sound, media and lighting.
The Technical Ministry plays a strategic role in each weekend service. Through team-building, operator training and equipment development, we constantly strive to set a standard of excellence for this important ministry area.
As a Technical Ministry, we will see:
- our congregation able to enter into undistracted worship
- our Tech Teams trained so they can do their job
- our equipment in optimum condition at all times and
- our Tech Teams growing strong relationally.
How does the Technical Ministry impact "my life"?
The Technical Ministry provides people the opportunity to use and grow their technical gifts at SunWest. We provide the technical support for all SunWest weekend services and other itinerant events.
Can I get involved?
Yes! There are a lot of opportunities available for individuals interested in building their skills. We are always looking for sound and lighting technicians, media people, stagehands and of course - roadies!
If you are interested in pursuing a position on the Tech Team or would like more information, please contact the Pastor Jeff Marshall at (403) 254-2823.
