My favorite vacation of all time . . . Personally: 3 weeks at a water-skiing school. With Gwen: the week we had in Maui! With my family: all inclusive in Mexico (go ahead boys, eat all you want.)

 

My mom always told me . . . she loves me.

 

My life changed when I read . . . The Heavenly Man, Supernatural Ways of Royalty, Journey to Desire and Sacred Romance.

 

I feel most at home . . . 35C, flat water, slalom course, boatload of friends.

 

I like to hang out with . . . people who live life to the max.

 

I am so annoyed when . . . people drive slowly in the fast lane.

 

I truly admire . . . my parents.

 

My prayer for SunWest . . . is that we grow into a faith community that loves Jesus, ministers to each other and our world in sacrificial ways that reflect the supernatural realty of Christ to the world.

 

I experience God most . . . in worship; when I’m serving in my gifts and when I experience authentic community.

 

I am most passionate about . . . Holy Spirit powered life transformation.

 

Wouldn’t it be great if . . . the Flames won the cup. Seriously, wouldn’t it be great if Christians lived what we say we believe.

My friends always say . . . I should be a teacher. I feel that has been fulfilled through my position as Children's Ministry Pastor at SunWest.

 

I like to hang out with . . . my wife, three daughters and friends and play board games.

 

My prayer for SunWest . . . is that the kids of SunWest would be a shining example of Jesus to the kids they come in contact with each week.

 

I am passionate about . . . helping kids hear God's voice and leading them to discover how the stories in the Bible are relevant to their lives today.

My favorite vacations of all time . . . my 15th Wedding Anniversary Cruise with Lorinda and our family vacation to Yellowstone National Park . . .great memories.

 

My mom always told me . . . to turn the lights off before I came up from the basement.

 

My life changed when I read . . . Inside Out by Dr. Larry Crab.

 

I feel most at home . . . when I am with my family or close friends, spending the evening together enjoying each other's company and sharing good food.

 

I am so annoyed . . . when I am in a hurry and someone is driving slower then the posted speed limit and the road conditions are great!

 

I truly admire . . . athlete’s who push themselves beyond the limits and leaders/people that pay the price to accomplish a clear goal while continuing to keep a healthy perspective (ie joy in their lives!).

 

My friends say . . . I have an ability to make people feel comfortable when talking with them and that I draw them out.

 

My prayer for SunWest . . . is that we would continue to grow in our understanding of what it means to live lives that reflect our Lord’s prayer, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

 

I experience God most . . . when I am in a quiet room and have time to settle my thoughts, listen to some good music, write in my journal and read the Bible.

 

I am most passionate about . . . people knowing God’s divine destiny for them.

My favorite vacation of all time . . . my honeymoon.

 

My mom always told me . . . wear clean underwear (I was in the hosptial a lot)

 

My life changed when I read . . . Wild at Heart and A New Kind of Christian

 

I feel most at home . . . when there is food around me!

 

I like to hang out with . . . my wife and close friends.

 

I am so annoyed when . . . the Oilers lose!

 

I truly admire . . . my dad.

 

I experience God most . . . in times of worship, one on one conversations with others and being outdoors.

 

I am most passionate about . . . living out God's Kingdom.

My favorite vacation of all time . . . the Mexico all inclusive that I just went on with my wife's family.

 

My mom always told me . . . wait 'til your father gets home.

 

My life changed when I read . . . the Bible. I'm not just saying that because it's the "right" answer. John 17 actually . . . When I was 19, I spent a lot of time in this chapter of the Bible. That was a major turning point in my life. A New Kind of Christian by Brian McLaren gets honorable mention.

 

I feel most at home . . . with a Starbuck's coffee while reading a book and listening to music or watching an NBA game.

 

I like to hang out with . . . my wife and my sons.

 

I am so annoyed when . . . I'm stuck in Calgary traffic.

 

My prayer for SunWest . . . is that the way Jesus lived and the things He did would become normal among us, because of our intimate relationship with Him. And in turn, the people that we meet in the community, the work place, our schools,etc would meet Jesus.

 

I experience God most . . . through the creative process of writing music, and journaling while I'm reading the Bible.
